About Frances - Youth and Teen Confidence Coach
Coaching with Heart, Insight, and Calm
Hi, I'm Frances — founder of Ard Ré Coaching.
I help teens, young adults, and parents move through stress, self-doubt, and digital overwhelm — so they can reconnect with who they are and build confidence that lasts.
But this work didn't begin in a textbook or a training room. It began with my own story — one I know many young people today would recognise.
I Took the "Safe" Route — But It Never Felt Right
I studied economics and sociology at university — but my heart always leaned toward the human side. I ended up taking the economic path and spent almost 18 years in corporate finance. It was stable, respectable… but I never felt whole.
I constantly had the feeling I was in the wrong place. My core values — kindness, fairness, curiosity — felt pushed to the sidelines. And though I loved learning, the idea of one more finance qualification filled me with dread.
What Lit Me Up Was People — Not Profits
I found myself drawn to the things that really matter:
Neuroscience. Mindset. The way people think, grow, and make meaning of their lives.
More than anything, I loved listening — especially to younger people. I saw myself in their struggles. I remembered what it felt like to grow up with anxiety, body image issues, and that quiet sense of never being quite good enough.
And I knew I wanted to be the voice I never had — someone who could say:
"This thing you're worried about? It's not all of you. Not even close."
Why I Coach
Today, through Ard Ré Coaching, I help young people see the truth:
That the things they're anxious about — their appearance, their performance, their place in the world — are only a fraction of who they are.
They are kind. Capable. Creative. And so much more than they've been led to believe.
Coaching gives them space to slow down, tune in, and grow from the inside out.
It's a calm, supportive space where they can build confidence, purpose, and emotional strength — one conversation at a time.
My Coaching Approach
At Ard Ré Coaching, my approach is rooted in strengths-based, solution-focused coaching — designed to support teens, young adults, and parents in building clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience.
Sessions draw from well-established coaching methods like the GROW model, neuroscience-informed mindset tools, and values-led goal setting. Coaching is always tailored to the individual — calm, practical, and empowering.
Rather than offering advice, I guide you (or your teen) to find answers within, using questions, reflection, and simple strategies that create real, lasting change.
