FAQ

For Teens and Young Adults

1. Who is Coaching For?

Coaching at Ard Ré is designed for teens, young adults, and anyone feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves. Whether it's confidence, focus, anxiety, or self-image, this is a space to talk it through calmly and find a way forward.

2. What actually happens in a coaching session?

Sessions are calm, supportive conversations where we explore what's going on for you, what you'd like to change, and how to move forward with clarity. You talk, I listen, and together we find tools and insights that help.

3. Do I have to be super confident or outgoing to try this?

Not at all. You can show up quiet, unsure, anxious, awkward — it's all welcome here. Coaching is about helping you grow into who you are, not changing your personality.

4. What if I don't know what I need help with?

That's actually really common. You don't need to have all the answers — we'll figure it out together. Most people come in feeling unsure, and leave with more clarity and calm than they expected.

5. Can parents be involved?

Yes — with your consent. For teen clients, I offer optional parent check-ins to support communication and understanding. Everything shared in sessions remains confidential unless there's a safety concern.

6. Are sessions online or in-person?

You can choose what works best:

  • Online via Microsoft Teams

  • In person (Drogheda area, subject to availability)

7. How long are sessions?

Each 1:1 session is 60 minutes. Parent check-ins are 15–30 minutes.

For Parents

1. Is this therapy? What's the difference?

Coaching is not therapy. It's forward-focused and solution-oriented. We don't diagnose or treat mental health conditions — instead, we explore goals, mindset, challenges, and personal growth. It's about building confidence, emotional resilience, and self-leadership.

2. Will I be involved in my teen's sessions?

That's up to your teen. Their coaching space is private and safe, but I offer optional parent support check-ins (with their consent) so you feel included and informed without stepping on their independence.

3. What age is coaching suitable for?

I work with teens (usually from age 13+), college-age young adults, and parents. If your child is younger or has specific needs, I'm happy to chat first to see if coaching is the right fit.

4. What kind of results can we expect?

Every person is different, but common outcomes include improved confidence, better focus, clearer decision-making, and healthier emotional regulation. I help them build tools and insights that support long-term growth — not just quick fixes.

5. What does it cost?

Sessions are currently €70 each, with a 6-session package available for €390. Optional parent check-ins are €30. These are introductory rates as I build experience and complete my coaching accreditation.

6. Is there a reduced-rate option?

Yes. I offer a small number of reduced-rate spaces for families where cost is a barrier. Just reach out — there's no awkward form, just an honest conversation.

7. What is a Clarity Call?

It's a free 20-minute chat to see if coaching feels right for you (or your teen). No pressure, no sales pitch — just clarity.
