Why I Coach (And Why I Almost Didn’t)

11/02/2026

They say you should launch a business when you feel "ready." If I had waited for that moment, Ard Ré Coaching would still be nothing more than another thought whirling around in my head that had no action attached to it.

The truth is, I've spent much of my life in a battle with the "Perfectionism Trap." It's that voice that says: If you can't do it flawlessly, don't do it at all. It's the fear of being seen, the fear of making a mistake, and the paralysis that comes when you think you aren't "enough" to help others.

Real-Time Resilience

To be completely honest, as I was writing the words for this website, I found myself wordless. I was so caught in the fog of "getting it right" that I used every tool available to me—including AI—just to help me bridge the gap between my heart and the screen.

Why am I telling you this? Because if I'm going to coach your teen or support you as a parent, I need to start with the truth. I don't see these challenges in coaching sessions yet—I'm just starting this journey. But I see them in the mirror. I see them in the way I've procrastinated on my own dreams. I see them in the self-criticism that tries to quiet my voice.

This is Why I Coach

I'm not a coach because I have all the answers or a perfectly polished life. I'm a coach because:

  • I know the fog: I know what it's like to feel stuck and overwhelmed by the pressure to be perfect.

  • I've felt the shift: During my coaching diploma, I felt firsthand the impact of having the right question asked at the right time. I experienced the power of the silence that was held for me—a space that allowed me to stop performing and finally find the answers from deep within myself.

  • I believe in the process: I know that you already hold your own answers; sometimes you just need someone to hold the space while you uncover them.

  • I know the cost of waiting: I know how much time we lose waiting for "perfect."

What You Can Expect

At Ard Ré Coaching, you aren't getting a lecturer; you're getting a partner who is in the trenches with you. Whether we are navigating the pressures of social media in Beyond the Mirror or building study systems in Focus and Mindset, we are doing it with raw honesty.

We're going to prioritize being done over being perfect. We're going to prioritize being real over being flawless. Because the world doesn't need more perfect people—it needs more people who are brave enough to be seen exactly as they are.
